Leading Argentine visual artist Ornella Ruiz Diaz, known for her innovative combination of physical and digital art, will open her solo show “Beat Boutique” in Dubai on February 7.
The exhibition will be held at Atelier M, located at Pier 7, Marina Promenade, and will feature medium and large format pieces that explore the imaginary of psychedelic prints from the 1960s.
Ruiz Diaz’s work stands out for its ability to connect art and technology, flirting with fashion. During his stay in Dubai, he will hold meetings with ambassadors, gallery owners and cultural managers, strengthening the presence of Argentine art in the international scene.
Beat Boutique: an innovative proposal
The “Beat Boutique” exhibition will burst with the neo-psychedelia of Ornella Ruiz Díaz, presenting half-circular works with references to prints of her own collected dresses from the 1960s, references ranging from Emilio Pucci to the space age icon André Courrèges.
Fashion and technology at the MUSURE Futuristic Fashion Show
As part of his trip, Ruiz Díaz will participate in the MUSURE Futuristic Fashion show on February 16 at Fashion Factor and February 19 at Expo City Dubai, two emblematic Dubai venues that are a landmark of progress and a glimpse into the future.
The event, designed by Argentinean Tano Bevacqua Cossa, will feature a futuristic costume adorned with crystals and holographic wings, accompanied by the avant-garde MUSURE bag, customized by Ornella Ruiz Diaz. This exclusive piece of art will be auctioned after the show. Argentine supermodel Sophie Czuchra, will parade alongside two robot dogs, integrating fashion, art and technology in an immersive experience that reflects the future of design.
Backed by blockchain technology
Ornella’s career development has been driven by her foray into digital art and blockchain. The artist gained notoriety with initiatives such as “Burn Art Show,” where she incinerates her physical works so that they could only be NFTs, selling them instantly.
In addition, she has worked with the Binance brand underlining its ability to adapt to new forms of monetization of art and veering towards paths where the possibilities of screens expand art.
